Paul Street
Six-storey industrial office refurbishment, in central Shoreditch
The low-cost, industrial aesthetic of this project is bright and bold, drawing inspiration from the existing building as well as the characteristics of the surrounding area. A couple of murals from a local graffiti artist connect the building with the surrounding street scene of East London.

A waxed birch plywood floor provides a simple, light, and cost-effective flooring solution
The timber structure of the existing roof was retained and celebrated - it was brushed and re-finished with a water-based stain
High performing new timber windows and stable doors replicate the existing industrial aesthetic
A contoured painted plywood wall, with integrated LED neon lighting, delivers a bright, bold, and expressive entrance
A local artist was commissioned to create a mural to adorn the flank wall - the design derived from the building's heritage in the textile/fashion world
Precise geometry within the contoured painted plywood wall creates a contemporary finish, using low-tech and low impact materials
A bespoke entrance door, clad in recycled galvanised steel, provides a contemporary and unique entrance
Curved contours soften the painted plywood wall creating a nook for seating, sculpture or planting
